About the artist
Ross Haston is a 2024 graduate at Herron School of Art and Design. Majoring in Drawing & Illustration, Ross has found a love for digital media, as well as traditional processes such as lithography and silkscreen printmaking.
Ross’ work embarks around ideas such as nostalgia, youth, and personal recollections. These themes have always sparked interests and new ideas throughout multiple mediums as he is able to create new meanings and purpose of his past memories.
“Through making my art, I am also on a personal journey rediscovering who I am, and who I once was. Growing up I have always considered myself to be a sentimental person, always trying to capture and hold onto every different stage in my life, whether that be through collecting sentimental objects, taking photographs, or making my journal spreads. In the process of making my art I’m able to illustrate my identity, I feel as though I won’t ever loose sight of who I am.”
